Dear Sirs
I have some concerns about the policies sold by
your company and set out my reasons below.
I have a Standard Life Endowment policy sold by
you in 1998.
I have read the press and know that all you were
interested in was the commission. Having spoken to my father (he’s a publican
and hears a lot) I understand that Standard Life are Scottish. How dare you
sell me something from a bunch of skirt wearers.
Standard Life sent me a “projection”, which, I
frankly don’t believe. It says that the policy was designed to repay £50,000 in
2010 and the projections are saying that I’ll only get £62,900. You told me I’d
get more.
My Dad said that if I had put my money in a
Colombian White VCT or Laundrette Cartel BES (whatever they are) like him, I
would be looking to get £129,732 next year. No questions asked.
I thought you knew how to make people money not rip
them off.
I started a Diploma course from Jarkmans who said
that I should complain if I see someone else doing better than me. So I am.
If you do not pay me the compensation I know I am
due I will refer this to the ombudsman. I know my rights and I am not prepared
to listen to whiny excuses about values falling as well as rising. You said
that when you sold the policy and I still have less than my Dad said he was
getting.
I expect to see some compensation money by return of
post and it had better be a lot.
Yours Sincerely
Mr C Example
